Recently I came across this statement on an image, “One awesome things about Eeyore is that even though he’s basically clinically depressed, he still gets invited to participate in adventures and shenanigans with all of his friends. And they never expect him to pretent to feel happy; they just love him anyway, and they never leave him behind or ask him to change.”

I thought about it a little more and this text is incorrect but the sentiment is a winner. I think a better phrase would be:

“One awesome thing about Eeyore’s Friends is that even though he’s basically clinically depressed, they still invite him to participate in adventures and shenanigans with them. And they never expect Eeyore to pretend to feel happy; they just love him anyway, and they never leave him behind or ask him to change. Eeyore is brave for joining in the shenanigans even when he is unsure of it.”

So to those of you out there with friends that are having a hard time, I ask you to be Pooh, Tigger, Christopher Robin, Kessie, Gopher, Owl, Buster, Rabbit, Heffalump, Darby, Kanga, Piglet, Lumpy, Roo … take your pick.

The Benevolent Misanthrope

One awesome thing about Eeyore’s Friends is that even though he’s basically clinically depressed, they still invite him to participate in adventures and shenanigans with them. And they never expect Eeyore to pretend to feel happy; they just love him anyway, and they never leave him behind or ask him to change. Eeyore is brave for joining in the shenanigans even when he is unsure of it.
